Know your
rights

Your vote only matters if every ballot cast is counted. The coalition defends your vote in the courts, at the polls, and in the press.

You can vote if you are in line

If you are in line when polls close, stay in line. Poll workers must let everyone already in line cast a ballot.

You can ask for a provisional ballot

If your name is missing from the rolls or your eligibility is challenged, you have the right to cast a provisional ballot. Ask how and when to confirm it was counted.

You can bring help and get language assistance

You may bring someone to help you read or mark your ballot, and you may request assistance from a poll worker. Many jurisdictions are required to provide Spanish-language materials.

No one may intimidate you

Voter intimidation is illegal. No one may block your way, follow you, film you, or question your citizenship at the polls. Report it and keep voting.

Something went wrong at the polls?

Report it. A lawyer will see it.
